Xiaomi Redmi 7A Mobile Phone

Does Redmi 7A continue the myth of the Indian market

Smartphones

Tomtop learned from foreign media that Xiaomi’s product portfolio has a Xiaomi product at almost every price point. Such a market segment has determined Xiaomi’s dominant position in the market. Among them, Redmi 7A is the latest version of the Redmi A series and is extremely popular.

Tomtop learned from foreign media that according to IDC India’s April 2019 report, it has a 48% market share in India’s market share of US $ 75 to US $ 100. It can be said that Xiaomi has done a good job at this price point. However, the goal of Redmi 7A is to raise it to a level and accept the upcoming competition from companies such as Realme.

Redmi 7A is the last product of Xiaomi’s latest design concept. Although the cost limitation means that the mobile phone can not obtain the glass and metal structure of high-end mobile phones, but this phone does get an updated appearance.

In contrast to the 6A, the camera orientation on the Redmi 7A has changed. Smooth flow from the top to the bottom, with a subtle screen printing of the Redmi brand near the bottom. The volume and power buttons are placed on the right side of the phone. Redmi 7A seems to be manufactured to fairly strict standards. There is a dedicated dual SIM slot on the left and a slot for microSD expansion.

The 5.45-inch panel is quite practical and does not use water drops or dig holes. The 18: 9 aspect ratio of the screen makes it easier to hold the phone, and the resolution is quite sharp at 720 x 1,440. The colors are quite bright and the visibility is good.

Due to cost constraints, the bottom edge of the phone is equipped with a micro USB port and a speaker. Mobile phones like Redmi 7A are not suitable for advanced users.

In terms of performance, it is enough to be able to run all the applications you like. Multitasking is certainly not its strength. However, this is only for the 2GB RAM version of the phone. This phone uses the Snapdragon 439 processor, which is an energy-efficient 12nm chipset. Although this is still an entry-level chipset, the clock speed of the Cortex-A53 core is now up to 2GHz. The performance here is closer to Snapdragon 625 than Snapdragon 625. On the other hand, the GPU is still Adreno 505, so do n’t expect any miracles in gaming. To its credit, Redmi 7A did manage to run PUBG in a reasonable manner. Of course, a lot of frames are lost.

The biggest improvement of Redmi 7A must be a huge battery. The upgrade to a 4,000mAh battery and a more frugal processor architecture means that the phone can last for several days.
