KF94 mask and N95 mask which is better

Health & Beauty

Because KF94 is not aimed at medical standards, there is no relevant standard for bacterial filtration rate in the production process. In addition, the outer material is the same as the non-medical KN95 and N95 masks. The splash resistance is not as good as that of the medical masks. Once the droplets are contaminated, if the masks are not replaced for a long time, there is still a risk. Therefore, KF94 can bear the role of personal protection when going out, but its effect is slightly inferior to KN95-level protective masks.

Is the kf94 mask disposable?

Everyone knows that KN95 is the national standard of protective masks, which refers to the filtration of non-oil particles with a diameter of 0.3 μm greater than 95%. The KF94 mask is a standard formulated by South Korea. According to the official website of the Korea Food and Drug Administration (MFDS), the mask of this standard has a filtration rate of greater than 94% for particles with a diameter of 0.4 μm.

In other words, the KF94 standard mask can filter out at least 94% of particles with a diameter equal to 0.4 μm. Therefore, KF94 is similar to KN95 and N95 in that it is a mask category under a protection level.

So kf94 masks are not disposable, it is the same type of protective masks as kn95 masks. In other words, if we are ordinary people, if there is no direct contact with new coronavirus infected people or crowded places such as epidemic areas, kf94 masks can be reused, but no more than 5 times.
