Vernee V2 Pro IP68 4G Smartphone 6200mAh

Vernee V2 Pro first review: rugged phone

Smartphones

We are used to using rugged mobile phones. However, Vernee decided to change the market and released a new phone called Vernee V2 Pro. Compared with other rugged mobile phones, it has a relatively thin body and compact size.

The specifications are impressive: 6-inch Full HD + display, 6200mAh battery, 21MP + 5MP main camera, Helio P23 chipset, 6GB memory and 64GB storage space. Are you interested? Let’s make a comment first.

Design

Of course, there are already powerful and rugged phones on the market, such as AGM X2 SE, but they look thick and heavy. If you want an IP68-rated smartphone (waterproof and shockproof), then Vernee V2 Pro looks perfect.

I didn’t find information about its thickness, but it seems to be one of the thinnest and strongest phones on the market. It doesn’t even look like a rugged phone!

There is a 6-inch display on the front and thin bezels on the top and bottom. Above the screen, you can find dual front cameras, headphones and even LED flashlights.

The back is made of special materials with small dots. The manufacturer claims that this design increases the slip resistance by 30%. Here you can see the dual main camera, LED flash and fingerprint reader. In addition, you can notice another thing next to the camera. It is a real-time heart rate monitor.

The left and right sides are made of red metal. It makes the phone durable and looks very interesting. There is a volume rocker and power button on the right, and a SIM card slot on the left. In addition, there is a special power-saving button next to the SIM card slot.

As I have already said, this is a rugged IP68 standard mobile phone. You can put your phone under 1.5 meters of water for about 30 minutes. In addition, it can be used at extreme temperatures of minus 30 to 60 degrees Celsius.

Display

The display is another highlight because it has a very thin bezel and a rugged phone. Vernee V2 Pro is equipped with a 5.99-inch screen, full HD + resolution, 2160 × 1080 pixels and an 18: 9 aspect ratio. The screen-to-body ratio is 81.3%, making it ideal for rugged mobile phones! It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Performance

As for performance, Vernee V2 Pro should be very fast. It uses Helio P23 chipset, 6GB memory and 64GB memory, supports microSD memory card. Helio P23 scored about 75,000 points on AnTuTu, so we expect Vernee V2 Pro to achieve the same result.

Of course, the new phone supports different functions of GPS, Glonass and outdoor, such as compass, pedometer, etc. By the way, there is NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and even OTG support.

Vernee V2 Pro runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with a VOS user interface. There are many useful features, such as face ID unlock, smart apps, power saving, etc.

This phone looks great! But what about the camera?

Camera

On paper, the Vernee V2 Pro’s camera looks very exciting. It is equipped with dual rear cameras with 21 and 5 megapixel sensors, and dual front cameras with 13 and 5 megapixel sensors. Both cameras have LED flash. The smartphone is not yet on sale, so we don’t have real sample photos. We cannot talk about image quality, but I am very excited! I also like rugged mobile phones because you can take images and record videos underwater.

Battery

You will be surprised, but Vernee V2 Pro is equipped with a 6200mAh battery. It provides up to 4 days of battery life, and VOC fast charging support. It takes about 150 minutes to fully charge.

I have already said that there is OTG support, so you can use this phone to charge other devices.

Price

We don’t know the price of this phone, but looking at the specifications and features, it should be no less than $ 250. We also don’t know the release date, but the manufacturer promised to start sales in May 2018.

So, we are waiting for Vernee V2 Pro because it looks like the most interesting rugged phone for the last time. I will try to use this phone and conduct a full review so that when it will start selling.
