Some player think thinner guitar pick will give more accuracy on the tone, other think it is hard to control thin guitar pick and the pick seems to bend easily. Range from 0.44 mm to 0.69 mm:Those picks are the thinnest of all. Because they are so thin you can easily bend them. However they are perfect for playing smooth jazz chords and laid back acoustic rhythm guitar. Range from 0.70 mm to 0.84 mm : Those are commonly used guitar picks. They can do very well playing rhythm guitar, acoustic or electric. Range from 0.85 mm to 1.13 mm, this kind of guitar pick is often used in rock music. they can make play great rhythm rock guitar. When you use a little distortion with your sound these picks will make the strings work harder to give you that nice clear rocky sound. 2.00 mm guitar pick is used? in heavy metal music . It will give you a solid sound when you need to go fast.
